ILL-O-STRATION

ILL-O-STRATION

I draw, big woop.

MAD was my favorite magazine as a kid. And teen, college student, and adult. I probably work in advertising because of it. And briefly, I was a contributing writer. It’s still my proudest creative accomplishment to date.

Burpy & Farty
Sample pages from an unfinished autobiographical story, written by my favorite author/podcaster/PBS host Kelly Corrigan. It’s about growing older with your spouse and how love, somehow, endures bodily functions

Unemployment Haiku Weekly
When my friend Matt lost his job, he found a welcome way to stay on creative recruiters radars - writing weekly haikus chronicling his experience. I immediately jumped on board to illustrate them.

UHW ran for 40 straight weeks, resulting in some nice press from places like the Wall Street Journal and Career Builder. It ended when we got a job as a creative team together because of it.

Airhead
A story about what happens when your head is in the clouds and you need to get it back. Made with my friends at The Studio.

Love Sentence
Love Sentence is a self-published comic about looking for love inside a maximum security prison. It was also in development as an animated series, bravely targeting the untapped prison love cartoon demographic.

Notebooks
Colleagues have called them “detailed”, “artistic”, and “serial-killerish.”
